ABOUT THE SHOW
The Polar Express Train Ride ™ is an immersive experience that was written as a storybook with the same name, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg, and adapted for the stage by show director, Scott Calgano. The cast total size was 64 with five shows and total number of guests were 1,600 a day.
As one of two production stage managers for the Perris, CA location, some of my responsibilities included:
- Making alternative sequences in the case of weather conditions or specifically with casting
- Cross trained performers and cast replacements
- Called a show that travels between three locations: Exterior Platform Scene, Onboard Show, and North Pole Scene
- Coordinated training, catering, and show operations
